Did you know that HeartBeatsHate is a grassroots movement? It’s true. We started in 2017 when our Founder, Alan Quarry, was watching the Unite the Right Rally events unfold. He was shocked by the level of racism, bigotry, hatred, and violence unfolding in Charlottesville and thought that someone should do something. Then, instead of waiting for someone to do something, he decided to act. He believed that hate was a choice (the wrong one at that!) and that we needed to stand up, speak out and push back against it. With that, HeartBeatsHate was born.
Since 2017, we’ve been busy raising awareness of our work. We’ve built resources, hosted rallies, fundraised, and marched all in an effort to spread more heart in our world. Through each outreach, we’ve grown, with more and more people deciding to join us.
This past week we printed 250 HeartBeatsHate lawn signs to help us get our message out. And we’re giving them away, for FREE! Which is where you come in!

Contest is open to all Canadian Instagram, Facebook and Twitter users aged 18+. Only one entry per participant. Do not spam feed with photos. Contest is run explicitly by HeartBeatsHate, and is in no way sponsored endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Instagram, Facebook or Twitter. Any questions, comments or complaints regarding this contest should be directed to HeartBeatsHate.
By participating in the contest, participants agree to abide by all contest rules and regulations. By entering the contest, participants grant HeartBeatsHate permission to use his/her name, likeness, photos or comments for publicity. This includes allowing HeartBeatsHate to use submitted contest photos in upcoming promotions of any kind with no remuneration or credit. Participants also agree to HeartBeatsHate capturing and using contact information, which will not be shared with third parties.
Photo rules: Photos must be original and user-generated (containing no copyrighted material).
